Parents and students alike agree—there is nothing quite like visiting the Oak Hill Academy campus in person. While you can learn most everything you need to know about our school at a virtual open house, we highly encourage individual tours for the most vibrant picture of life at Oak Hill. Individual tours can be arranged Mondays through Fridays and even on Saturday mornings by appointment.
What makes a campus tour special is not just the buildings and beautiful mountain scenery but the people you will meet along the way. When you visit Oak Hill, you are personally and warmly greeted by a variety of faculty and staff, as well as a student ambassador.
When you arrive, you start from the beginning, with a visit to the Archives led by a member of our admissions team. Considered the Oak Hill Academy museum, there you will learn about the rich history and enduring mission of our school. From there, you will have the opportunity to visit a dormitory and to see a dorm room to get a feel for residential life. Next, take a guided tour of the gym and weight room, possibly speaking with a coach, if available.
And of course a visit to the classroom building is necessary, where you’ll see our rich learning environment in person and meet the principal, director of counseling or college counselor to learn more about academics at Oak Hill. Finally, stop by the campus store, chapel and cafeteria—we welcome guests to join us for lunch, too!
