Aaron Teal ’19 provides pressure on the ball

The Oak Hill Academy Red Team faced off against Bristol Prep of Tennessee on November 2, 2018. A fan, Eddie Milo ’20 exclaimed, “The game was a nail-biter, but I am glad that I got to watch this exciting win!” The game started off with little offense but great defense on both sides of the court. The score at the end of the first quarter was 7-10 with Bristol Prep ahead. In the second quarter, the Red Team created more offense with Noah Allen leading the charge, scoring 10 points and setting up his teammates with nice assists. The score at the end of the second quarter was 25-18 with the Warriors in the lead. The Red Team continued to run up the score in the third quarter, this time with Owen Chen scoring 12 points and grabbing multiple rebounds. At the end of the third quarter, it was 49-39 in favor of OHA. During the fourth quarter, Bristol Prep made a comeback, tying the game up. However, the Red Team maintained its composure and made critical free throws. Delaney Heard commented, “The game was very close, but I think that our ability to stay calm and play our game allowed us to come out on top.” The final score of the game was 61-60 with the Red Team capturing the win. Coach Burns, assistant coach stated, “The boys won that game tonight through pure determination.” The leading scorer for the Red Team was Noah Allen, with 20 points. Allen also had the highest number of assists with 8. Delaney Heard pulled in the most rebounds at 6.
