Spring Parents’ Days – 2019

Parents’ Days Spring 2019 activities are scheduled to begin on Thursday afternoon, April 18th. Events will continue on Friday, April 19th. (Students may not leave campus Thursday.) The schedule is below:

Thursday, April 18th
All afternoon: Art Exhibit (Art Room)
All afternoon: Silent Auction (Ussery Archives Room)
12:45 p.m. Career Fair (Turner Gymnasium)
2:15 p.m. Registration
2:45 p.m. Horse Show (Hough Dormitory Track)
3:15 p.m. Basketball and Cheer Team Exhibitions, Spring Sports Recognitions (Gym)
4:30 p.m. College Application Presentation (Fletcher Chapel)
Ongoing: Art Exhibit (Art Room) and Silent Auction (Ussery Archives Room)
5:30 p.m. Parents/Students Banquet (Vaughan Dining Hall)
7:00 p.m. Music and Drama Performances (Fletcher Chapel)

Friday, April 19th
All morning: Art Exhibit (Art Room)
7:45 – 8:30 a.m. Open Breakfast for Parents and Students (Vaughan Dining Hall)
8:50 – 9:00 a.m. Homeroom in Fletcher Chapel – Presentation of Art Show Awards
9:00 – 12:00 noon Silent Auction (Ussery Archives Room)
9:00 – 10:45 a.m. 15-Minute Class Schedule – parents go to classes with their students
10:50 – 11:30 a.m. President’s Forum (Fletcher Chapel)
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Parents/Students Lunch

Students may leave campus with their parents after lunch on Friday. Students must return to campus no later than 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22. (There is no school Monday.)

Parents desiring teacher conferences must schedule appointments in advance through the Academic Office.
Teachers will be available at the following times:
Thursday – 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.; and
Friday – 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
