Parents’ Days Spring 2018

Parents’ Days Spring 2018 activities are scheduled to begin on Thursday afternoon April 19th. Thursday will be a regular school day with classes concluding at 2:15. Students may not leave campus Thursday evening. Events will continue on Friday, April 20th. The schedule is below:


Thursday, April 19th

All afternoon              Art Exhibit (Art Room)

All afternoon              Silent Auction (Ussery Archives Room)

12:45 p.m.                  Career Fair (Turner Gymnasium)

2:15 p.m.                    Registration

2:45 p.m.                    Horse Show (Girls’ Dormitory Track)

3:15 p.m.                    Basketball and Cheerleading Exhibitions, Spring Sports Recognitions (Gym)

4:00 p.m.                    Half-Court Shot for Tuition/Nike Gear

4:30 p.m.                    College Application Presentation (Fletcher Chapel)

Art Exhibit Open

5:30 p.m.                    Parents/Students Banquet (Vaughan Dining Hall)

7:00 p.m.                    Music and Drama Performances (Fletcher Chapel)

Friday, April 20th

All morning                 Art Exhibit

7:45 – 8:30 a.m.          Open Breakfast for Parents and Students (Vaughan Dining Hall)

8:50 – 9:00 a.m.           Homeroom in Fletcher Chapel – Presentation of Art Show Awards

9:00 – 12:00 noon       Silent Auction

9:00 – 10:45 a.m.        15-Minute Class Schedule – parents and students go to class

10:50 – 11:30 a.m.       President’s Forum (Fletcher Chapel)

12:00 – 1:00 p.m.         Parents/Students Lunch

Students may leave campus with their parents after lunch on Friday. Students must return to campus no later than 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23. 

If parents wish to have a conference with a teacher, they must schedule an appointment in advance. Parents should make appointments through the Academic Office.  Teachers will be available at the following times:

            Thursday – 3:30 until 5:00 p.m.
             Friday – 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon
