WCC dual enrollment program receives prestigious recognition

College readiness is at the forefront of our work here at Oak Hill Academy, and our dual enrollment program with Wytheville Community College allows our students to get a jump start on college coursework. We are proud to announce that WCC’s dual enrollment program has formally received full accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).

WCC is the second Virginia Community College System (VCCS) institution to receive this prestigious national standing. This award concludes a nearly four-year process, starting with a formal self-study of the dual enrollment program during the 2018-19 academic year.

Through our partnership with VCCS, 30 percent of Oak Hill students enroll in a wide variety of college courses courses—fulfilling high school requirements and earning college credits simultaneously. It is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for high school students to experience the rigors of higher education with the individualized support of our committed Oak Hill faculty.
