Graduation Day 2024

Graduation Day at Oak Hill Academy is a blend of cherished traditions and tangible excitement for what lies ahead. This year’s ceremony unfolded on Saturday, May 11, as we celebrated the achievements of 29 seniors who have reached significant milestones during their time at OHA. As they embark on the next phase of their journey, our graduates have many college options, including George Mason University, High Point University, University of Tampa, East Tennessee State University, Savannah College of Art and Design, and Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. Their futures are certainly bright.

Reflecting on the journey leading to this day, each student’s path to Oak Hill has been unique, with members of this year’s graduating class hailing from various corners of the United States and around the globe. Yet what unites them is a shared pursuit of growth—whether in social, academic, or athletic realms. Every student arrived at Oak Hill with a growth mindset, eager to transform their potential into reality.

While some students have been part of the Oak Hill community for their entire high school tenure, others joined within the past year or two. Regardless of their length of stay, every student found a warm welcome within the Oak Hill Academy community. Whether for one year or four, each student benefited from extensive one-on-one guidance from OHA college counselors in our dedicated college lab—a hub where all things college-related unfold, from initial research to meetings with admissions representatives and essay crafting.

Continuing a tradition of excellence, our students have once again secured substantial scholarship funding for their chosen institutions. Beyond traditional merit scholarships, Oak Hill Academy graduates have the opportunity to earn scholarships and guaranteed admission at our partner schools through articulation agreements with several institutions in the surrounding region. These esteemed colleges and universities include: Asbury University, Bluefield College, Bridgewater College, Carson-Newman University, Eastern Mennonite University, Emory and Henry College, Mary Baldwin College, Meredith College, and Randolph College.

Whether they’re bound for a partner school or another institution, our graduates are well-equipped to embrace the future, thanks to the solid foundation they’ve cultivated at Oak Hill Academy.
