Faculty Feature Friday: Brian Bunn

The future of our children’s professional and mental development heavily relies on their educators. Educators require knowledge, patience, and understanding with a nurturing hand. Brian Bunn exhibits these qualities as an educator and as a Dean of Faculty, ensuring that Oak Hill Academy continues the legacy of relational education.

For the past 30 years, Mr. Bunn has made Oak Hill Academy his home. Before Oak Hill, Mr. Bunn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Emory and Henry College and a Master of Arts in History from Virginia Tech.

When asked about his favorite part of Oak Hill Academy, Mr. Bunn says, “I love the impact I can have on a student here at OHA. The connections we make are deep and we often hear from former students years later.”

Mr. Bunn and his family, like the vast majority of Oak Hill Academy faculty, live right here on campus. He has recently welcomed a new grandson.

We look forward to many more years with Mr. Bunn and witnessing his impact on students’ learning.
