The athletic program at Oak Hill Academy provides a variety of interscholastic athletic teams in which students are encouraged but not required to participate. The athletic program provides an opportunity for the student-athlete to engage in interscholastic competition with integrity and a spirit that honors the high standards of the Academy. Life lessons are learned through team participation, and the values of good sportsmanship, self-discipline, perseverance, and dedication are stressed to each team member. The athletic program values spirited, fair play and has an appreciation for playing to win and being gracious in victory and defeat.
The following sports constitute the interscholastic teams for boys: gold, red, and junior varsity basketball, baseball, and tennis. Girls' athletic teams are: tennis, cheerleading, and volleyball. Soccer is offered as a co-ed interscholastic sport. The Academy also hosts a co-ed equestrian team that competes in horse shows across the Southeast. The gold varsity basketball team has been recognized nationally for more than twenty years.
